GRACEH 2026
GRACEH 2026 will be held on 15-17 April 2026 at the University of Oxford.
Submissions (proposal + short biography) for GRACEH 2026 are due at midnight (GMT+0) on 18 January 2026.
Submissions should include a proposal of no more than 300 words, as well as a short biography (100 words or less). Submissions might include a proposed title for your paper, however, a proposed title is not obligatory for your submission to be considered.
While we appreciate enthusiastic responses to the theme of 'Ruptures in European History', we ask that you please limit submissions to one per person.
You will receive an automatic response after sending in your submission. This will serve as your confirmation of receipt. We will regularly check our spam inbox to ensure that all applications are received.
If you have not received an email confirming receipt after 72 hours, please follow-up by sending an email to: graceh2026@history.ox.ac.uk
Participants will receive a notification of acceptance by 15 February 2026. If your submission has been unsuccessful, we will also notify you by this date.
While we are currently unable to pay for accommodation for our speakers, we're currently working with several of the Oxford colleges to section off a block of rooms where participants can stay during the conference. Information on accommodation will be provided in late February.
Yes! We welcome anyone to attend the conference, including students, professors, and the wider public. We will post the full programme for the conference on this website closer to the date.
The conference programme will be released in mid-March. Speakers will receive the full programme via email and it will also be available on our website. If speakers have any questions regarding the programme ahead of its release, we encourage them to reach out to us via email.
